Citizens of Nodaway County have attended the fairs and celebrations throughout the county since their beginnings.  Some of the celebrations are still occuring, while others are not.  The County Fair, Pickering Horse Show, and the Hopkins Picnic are still occurring today, although people might not know about their origins.  Other events, the Chautauqua and the Emancipation Day celebration no longer occur in this county, but were big celebrations during the late 1800s and early 1900s.  Learn more about each celebration as well as look in the photo gallery.  Share your memories and stories of past celebrations below!
