Social Organizations and Their Purpose

Social organizations have been a part of American life for as long as can be remembered. These types of organizations have created a space for people to come together and make positive changes in their community. This can be through acts of service and a feeling of family through these types of gatherings.

Nodaway County has a history with dozens of social organizations over its existence. From the International Order of Oddfellows to the Lions Club, there have always been groups ready to help the community.

Learn about two of these groups, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Freemasons, here.
