About the Exhibit
Nodaway County, Missouri, has a rich military history. The Nodaway County Historical Society Museum has worked to preserve that history by collecting the uniforms and stories of those who served in the United States Armed Forces from the Civil War to present-day conflicts in the Middle East. The museum's collection contains more than 20 uniforms.
The patches, badges, medals, and ribbons on the military uniforms can tell us a lot about the service of the person who wore them. These insignias designate a variety of classifications, from rank to unit to overseas service.
