Dress and Deployment
Korea 1950-1954
This is a Garrison Cap. This style cap was made of olive drab wool or khaki cotton to match the uniforms. Different colored piping on the outside of the hat was used to differentiate divisions. Raymond Shell from Maryville, Missouri, was stationed in Munich, Germany during the Korean War. The red piping on Shell’s cap means that he was in the artillery division during the war.
