The Vietnam War
Type 54 Pistol
The museum has a Type 54 pistol. The gun is a Chinese copy of the Soviet Tokarev TT pistol.
This gun was captured in May 1970 by Maryville resident Stephen L. Thompson from a Vietcong cache of supplies while in Cambodia during the Vietnam War.
Known as the Black Star pistol, variations of this gun are still used in Asia to this day.
